Erica Starkey – Broker / Owner

We are proud to be a woman-owned company under the leadership of our Broker / Owner, Erica Jones Starkey. Erica is a 3rd generation native Bay Area entrepreneur with more than 20 years of residential and commercial real estate experience. For more than ten years, Erica ran her own brokerage JSCA Real Estate Group serving clients along the Iron Horse Trail territory from Walnut Creek to Pleasanton. In addition, she has held leadership positions at Empire Realty Associates in Walnut Creek and most recently as the COO of Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate | Reliance Partners. She holds a Bachelors degree from Claremont McKenna College and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from JFK University. Erica and her husband Dan have two active teenagers and they live in Danville with their many dogs, chickens and a cat. She likes supporting local businesses and volunteering with organizations including the Special Olympics.

 

Dan Starkey – COO – Operations and Marketing

Dan Starkey brings more than twenty years of marketing and operations expertise to JPAR® Iron Horse Real Estate. Dan fits the mold of today’s most successful marketing leaders combining strategic vision and creative storytelling with data analytics savvy. Throughout his career, Dan has managed marketing, product management, sales and operations teams in high tech (hardware, software, SaaS) and financial/professional services. As an executive at a startup Software-as-a-Solution company and later at one of the largest electronics test and measurement distribution companies in North America, Dan has demonstrated a knack for building high growth companies. With previous experience in the mortgage insurance industry and recently as VP of Marketing at Better Homes and Gardens | Reliance Partners, he is excited about continuing to serve aspiring homeowners here in the East Bay. Dan enjoys traveling, watching movies with his wife and being active parents of their two children and many, many animals.

 

Kim Elmar – Agent Concierge

Kim has provided marketing and administrative support to real estate agents for over 7 years and has also worked as a part-time agent. His goal is to provide exemplary and timely service to our agents. He is passionate, sincere, and goal-oriented, as well as hard working, persistent and honest. My favorite thing about working in real estate is meeting new people. Each transaction is different so it is never boring or predictable.

 

Maureen Utzerath – Transaction Coordinator

Maureen has been handling transactions for over 13 years and has over 20 years in real estate. She is incredibly knowledgeable and strives to be proactive so as to avoid surprises during all stages of the deal. She is an amazing resource and a super awesome person too!
